As far as I can tell this is not supported with OTEL tracing at the moment.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a service using Python and psycopg3 utilizing the OpenTelemetry auto instrumentation and the OpenTelemetry SDK using the attributes in the semantic conventions &lt;A href="https://opentelemetry.io/docs/specs/semconv/database/database-spans/#common-attributes" target="_self"&gt;common attributes.&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;I do not see a database service represented by those spans.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Database &lt;A href="https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/observe/applications-and-microservices/databases/database-services-classic/how-database-activity-is-monitored#expand--database-calls-and-purepathr-technology" target="_self"&gt;detection and monitoring docs&lt;/A&gt; include&amp;nbsp; "&lt;SPAN&gt;you will see database statements traces only if the application that makes them either sends distributed traces to the&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A class="" title="Learn how to configure your application to export OpenTelemetry data to Dynatrace via OTLP." href="https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/ingest-from/opentelemetry/getting-started/otlp-export" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;OpenTelemetry trace ingest API&lt;/A&gt;".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are there specific attributes that need to be included or other pre-requisites to enabling that database service?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
