Groups serve as the only mechanism for assigning access permissions to users, and as such, users need to be assigned to one or many groups, which in turn encapsulate the platform privileges assigned by the administrator.

Hi @GosiaMurawska,

This is the best option for easy administration. Say you have 10 users in the same department(Eg: DB_TEAM). Instead of assigning same permission to 10 users 10 times, create one group and map that group to those users. Also, say in that 10 users few users need additional permission like view sensitive data. In this scenario add one more group similar to the previous group name with additional privileges (Eg: DB_TEAM_SENSITIVE). In future it will be easy for the administrator to add and remove the user privileges.

Instead of assigning permissions individually to each user, you can assign them to groups. Managing permissions at the group level reduces administrative overhead.
