Mapping Extracted Metric to Management Zone

Hi All

I created a metric using the metric extraction feature (from log ) and want to add it to a specific management zone, but I am unable to do so. Does anyone know how to add a specific metric to a management zone, or if it's possible?

Hi Rohit,

I modified my previous answer because it was wrong. Thanks @AntonPineiro for letting me know

You can add a new dimensional data rule type in a Managment Zone and selecting Metric Type. And then, selecting your log metric.

In addition to that and just for maintenance purposes I suggest you give a criterion to each team, I use log.BU (Business Unit) for example log.dynatracecommunity and then I use the dimensional metric with startswith. It is easy to mantain and to know in a future if the metric still have sense, and if someone uses something different they cannot see the metric.
