Hi,

We are also encountering the same issue, where Deep Monitoring causes crashes across several applications in our .NET landscape. As a result, we’ve had to completely remove Dynatrace from those applications.

Unfortunately, support did not provide any substantial resolution, apart from suggesting we disable RUM and DP, and monitor our application servers in Infrastructure-only mode—which, frankly, is something any other monitoring tool can offer as well.

Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this conflict and help us assure our application teams that future crashes can be avoided?

Thankyou

Gitansh

Hi

We are experiencing issues with deep monitoring on IIS app pools only.
Deep monitoring on the same hosts has been successful for processes, but all IIS app pools are failing across all hosts in this application.

We get the following message:

We have restarted the host, the w3wp.exe service, ran a iisreset and nothing seems to work.

any ideas?

Hi,

I would raise a support ticket providing OneAgent diagnostics information.

Best regards

Hi @JamesD09

You must open a ticket support and describe the details of this weird behavior (maybe could be an issue).
I suppose you are using some .NET library which is causing conflict with OneAgent or some technology is not officially supported. We can help you but with many hypotheses, in this case DT Support can help you investigating.

Regards,

Hi,

We are using the Delmia Apriso , and it was identified that a .NET profiler is present in both Dynatrace and Apriso. From the Dynatrace UI, the following two actions need to be performed:

disable the OneAgent feature ".NET exception" for the corresponding process groups

disable the OneAgent feature ".NET Remoting" for the corresponding process groups
