Monitor the monitors - how to detect when Dynatrace isn't functioning properly on major functionality?

Being able to monitor the monitor is turning into a key functionality gap internally in my organization.

How are other people utilizing Dynatrace to self alert when critical function points within Dynatrace randomly stop reporting?

For example, we recently had multiple Kubernetes clusters stop reporting on service/trace level data over a weekend. This wasn't timely caught as Davis doesn't detect when data stops coming in unless it's in very specific circumstances, like an availability or communication drop.

One thing I like to do is to set up missing data alert for the critical SLIs.
