I have been involved in trying to instrument an important application, that was once running on a Mainframe, and has been converted to run on .Net, with Fujitsu's NetCOBOL.

We had some limited success in gaining some visibility using Custom Services & Request Attributes. The stack traces appear in Method Hotspots, but some of the methods invoked don't seem to be hookable. Not sure the way Fujitsu's NetCOBOL uses IL is responsible for that?

I have investigated the OpenTelemetry route, but it seems it would probably be a wild ride...

So, has anybody had experience with this, even in other cases, or before with AppMon?
