technologies type and custom device

Hello,

When creating a custom device, I notice that the "Technology (e.g.: type of device, software technology) " is used as label for the technology type and a group name.

When I change this field, the technology is changed but the group name stays the same. Is this expected behavior?

Hi Henk,

There should be a different field altogether for the Device Group Name. Technology is just a label for the group and its members but does not affect their naming.

The field is in the device settings and cannot be edited once the device has been saved:
