topic Best practice for injecting line protocol from ActiveGate extension in Extensions

When using an Activate extension, in some cases injecting data through the line protocol makes more sense. Currently, I'm injecting through the local API endpoint in ActiveGate. I do have to configure the tenant id and also have an API token, though.

Is this the most correct way to do it, or are there better alternatives?

Hi,

That is how we do it as well. You could automate the tenant piece but you’ll always need the API token for AG extensions.
