&lt;P&gt;I am checking metric related to &lt;STRONG&gt;Oracle DB&lt;/STRONG&gt; then encounter the metric&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;file descriptor&lt;/STRONG&gt; as I checked their percentage difference from last week so please help me&amp;nbsp; understand the meaning of&amp;nbsp; file descriptor any one please explain me this metric meaning find Dynatrace snap below.&lt;/P&gt;
