Hi Guys,

Can we monitor Cisco API/Meraki/VMware NSX-T and other SDN's using Dynatrace?

We are considering implementing Dynatrace for monitoring and observability purposes. I recently learned that with Extensions 2 of Dynatrace, there have been upgrades that allow us to monitor Cisco ACI and SNMP, among other things. Could someone assist me in obtaining detailed documentation regarding these capabilities?

For technologies which support Prometheus or SNMP I'd go with one of those two. In most cases network devices would be via SNMP: https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/extend-dynatrace/extensions20/data-sources/snmp-extensions

For other polling mechanisms such as APIs I'd go with Python in Extension Framework 1.0 as a customer/partner, or with Extension Framework 2.0 for our services department. Once Python in Extension Framework 2.0 is available to customers/partners I'd move it over to there.

Meraki 2.0 extension is now available here : https://www.dynatrace.com/hub/detail/meraki/

It uses Meraki Dashboard API to get metrics. Enjoy!
