Adaptive Thresholds/Baselining - Custom Devices

We are using a custom version of the SNMP extension and looking at using adaptive thresholds and baselining for various metrics for custom devices (device and interface). Is this possible?

My co-worker tried this and received a service constraint error, which is correct as the custom deivce is not a service, but would there be a similar endpoint for a custom device which would also be supported for adaptive thresholds or baselining?

Hi @bill_scheuernst, I would suggest taking a look at creating a metric selector-based metric event: https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/metric-events-metric-selector-events

In there, you will have the option to leverage Auto-adaptive threshold and Seasonal Baseline, which works similarly to adaptive thresholds and baselining for services.
