Dell Powerstore systems monitoring

Hello, I am new to Dynatrace. Is there an extension or a method using the Dynatrace API that someone has been successful in monitoring Dell Powerstore systems? Not sure if there is a repository of custom monitoring I can access and possibly has done this work already.

@jonp,

There is no reference for Powerstore, but you do have an extension for PowerScale. Powerstore does have an API, so it shouldn't be that difficult...

Hi, no I have not. I will need to investigate how to create this monitoring for Dynatrace and what metrics to include from the Powerstore system and work through the process. Thanks.

We too are migrating from Pur storage to Dell Powerstore. Would love to see an extension for this come along soon!

We are planning to release a couple of extensions targeting monitoring of Dell data storage technologies, like PowerStore, PowerMax etc.

Working with one of my clients who use dynatrace. They are interested in getting alerts from Dell PowerStore systems. Do you have any updates on where you are with this? Do you have a contact at Dell you are working with?

We were testing this out with one of our systems and doesn't seem to list out any performance metrics. Is this something that is in future release updates? Does look to have the metrics in their platform for export.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. We are looking to extend the extension and practitioner advice would be highly appreciated as guidance here. Do you have preferred list of performance metrics that you'd like to see on dashboards and/or on analysis screens?
