Can we push additional metadata to Dynatrace from platforms like VMWARE, AWS, DELL Openmange?

We would like to add additional metadata like serial numbers, CI Owner, CI Group, Company bougth for,etc from sources like VMWARE, AWS and DELL. On the VMWARE, AWS and DELL the attributes are tagged to the instances/ servers and we would like to see the detail and possibly pull it out of Dynatrace using the API's

Yes! Use tags or hosts metadata : https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/how-to-use-dynatrace/hosts/configuration/define-tags-and-metadata-for-hosts/

then you can use REST API to pull it.

Hi Radoslaw,

Thanks for the answer.I used the host metadata to add additional properties, but the feedback from Dynatrace one is that the host API does display the additional metadata.

Looks like I will have to log an RFE for that.
