Hi Team,

We have deployed CISCO GENERIC Extension in our environment to monitor switches / router / Firewall in our client environment.

1. Do I need to create AG group feasible using only on ActiveGate that is currently running our environment to route traffic in PROD ?

I see we need an AG Group as per document : https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/ingest-from/dynatrace-activegate/activegate-group

2. How can i use feature that is available in product as mentioned ?

Please advise.

3. We have to monitor few Network Devices Type like ( Fargate Firewall ) - Does GENERIC CISCO work here or we need to use fargate extension?

Am a newbie in using extensions. Appreciate your support on same.

1. Yes, you can use the same ActiveGates.

2. By checking those boxes the extension will gather the metrics related to the feature sets, and display it on the device screens, and you can use it on dashboards and alerts.

3. Some OIDs will be the same between different vendors, but a lot of the cisco metrics will not work on another device type.
