Define a technology in a custom extension

Hello all,

I am creating a custom extension with prometheus data source, in which I have a custom device, I wanted to try to understand if it is possible to define the technology for this custom device so that it appears in the UI in the Technology & Processes menu.

I can find the custom device if I do a general search, but I can't find it in the technology menu, nor in the custom devices.
