Hi Folks,

Does it make sense to configure both type of Event Streaming from SalesForce? Current configuration is OpenKit. Client could setup a new custom application with user sessions, but the extension related Business Event dashboard is empty...

Yes, from my experience, they are mutually exclusive inside the same monitoring configuration...

The BizEvents dashboard will only be populated after setting up at least a monitoring configuration with the BizEvents streaming selected.

So, in order to have BizEvents, you have to let go of the User Sessions on that same monitoring config...

I don't think I ever tried it with both streaming options at the same time (each streaming option on its individual monitoring configuration), though... but it might be interesting!
Just beware that it should reach Salesforce twice, one for each config

Thanks for your insights. I am going to try antoher two options beside the "only" OpenKit:

- "only" Bizevents

- Bizevents + OpenKit in the sametime for the same salseforce environment.

I will share my results soon. 😉

To be honest client does not know which one would more usefull for them: bizevents or usersessions.

BTW Do you know how can we use USQL results on GEN3 dashboards? Can we use DQL instead of USQL? Maybe it is a basic question sorry. Iam just getting to discover my first SaaS Grail system at an enterprise client...

@Mizső tbh, I'd go with bizevents as the DQL is much more powerful than USQl. We will need to wait a couple of months for the new DEM in Grail to be able to do that with user sessions.

As for USQL results on Gen3 dashboards - it's tricky, but doable by JavaScript tiles. Right now, the data resides in classic storage, and you are not able to query it directly from Gen3, only by API calls. You can see a lot of examples how to do that here.

Hi Folks,

It seems the "double" configuration works fine. We have RUM sessions and BizEvents also.

Now in UAT systems we have 2 config for salesforce endoints:

- First reporting mode is BizEvents + LOGs

- Second reporting mode is OpenKit (for DEM) without log section (same as in the previous)

We will test this configuration in the coming days...

I do not have information about the SalesForce side cost implication...

Hi @SanketBhapkar,

Both is configured together (second option in your post). We have RUM data, Bizevents and logs also at the same time.

We configured it last week so we will have more data soon which is depend on the user tests.

Are you able to see the bizz events in Dynatrace and over the overview dashboard,

as I am not able to see the data in Dynatrace, related to bizz events and dashboard.
