Quite frankly, something is going very wrong with the Python 3.10 extensions stuff.

In this thread, you said today:

In the same thread, @jmccullough3 referenced what I also saw earlier:

"Python 3.10 will no longer be supported after October 2026. To maintain Python extension support, OneAgents and ActiveGates starting from version 1.333 will include a new Python 3.14 runtime to be used for extensions."

Now, the following appears:

Python 3.10 is end of support by Python in October. We cannot ship a software that no longer gets security updates, so it will be removed from the OneAgents and ActiveGates from then onward.

It is both. Python 3.10 is End of Support by Python, and because of that we need to End of Life it as we cannot ship unsupported software with our OneAgents/ActiveGates.

I think the confusion here is that:

Python community states EoL and means they wont support it any longer. ofc they cant make anyone stop from using it.

We / Dynatrace would understand EoS by that.

We will add clarification in the deprecation messages to make it more clear.

thx for raising it!
