Hi,The Associate Managed exam format is a bit different now than the older Associate certifications.

The exam starts with a theoretical section consisting of multiple-choice questions. During this part, you are not allowed to use the Dynatrace documentation or any external resources.

Once you successfully complete the theoretical section, you proceed to the practical part, which consists of approximately 5–6 hands-on tasks performed in a Dynatrace environment. During this section, you are allowed to use the official Dynatrace documentation to help you complete the exercises.

So in summary:

Part 1: Theory questions (no documentation allowed)
Part 2: Practical exercises (documentation allowed)
I took the exam recently, so unless the format has changed again very recently, this is how it is currently structured.

Best regards

I'm intending on booking the Associate Managed Exam:
https://university.dynatrace.com/learn/courses/11/dynatrace-associate-for-managed-certification-exam

However, I couldn't find details regarding the exam structure. Could anyone who has taken the exam please clarify whether it is theory-only, or if it includes both theoretical and practical components?

Any insights into the exam format would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I think this is a new certification. Associate exams had only theorical questions before, but not sure today.

Best regards
