Hello!

In relation to previously discussed

https://community.dynatrace.com/spaces/482/dynatrace...

Can one explain me the reason for 4 multiplier?

Is it reasonable good assumption or result of hard scientific research?

I have spent some time reading apdex.org ApdexTechnicalSpecificationV11_000.pdf and did not find the answer. It just recommended and came out of blue. Strange.

Thanks to every opinion!

Regards, Igor

Dynatrace has just followed the "de-facto" standard of Apdex.org. We want to improve this in future in two ways: At first we plan to implement more custom configuration to modify the apdex calculation. Second step is to make more research on a better default setting as the definition of Apdex is very old and as you have mentioned without any real statistical approach. But for both items, we don't have any date at this point in time.

Thank you Alexander! It answers my question. I will know that it is de-facto standard or best practice.

Best regards,

Igor
