I would recommend taking a look at the following link as it provides details about masking data across the entire platform and sub-links on how to do so for each level.

https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/how-to-use-dynatrace/data-privacy-and-security/data-privacy/personal-data-captured-by-dynatrace/

Hello there!

Please give an advice! How to hide some attribute in web request? I created placeholder rule which is work well. But in waterfall analysis I still found my phone attribute which I want to hide.

For example, my XHR request is look like /api/order?Params[phone]=123123123

I need to hide this value '123123123'. How to archive it?

Dear Ivan,

with DT 1.203 we finally found a way to applay the sensitive data (default) behavior on all query params in the waterfall as well.

Meaning with this version and if you don't have the "view sensitive data permission" you will always see URLs with parameters like ****.

Hope this helps!

regards

Thomas
