Is it availability? Is its performance?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First you need to see if the process is identified automatically by Dynatrace. If not, you can define your own detection rule, &lt;A href="https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/how-to-use-dynatrace/process-groups/configuration/pg-detection" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/how-to-use-dynatrace/process-groups/configuration/pg-detection&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;sshd , for example it is not listed as individual process in Dynatrace, and since it is not a deep monitored process, you can create a &lt;A href="https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/how-to-use-dynatrace/process-groups/configuration/pg-detection#declare" target="_self"&gt;declarative process group&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you are looking for process availability only, you can do it &lt;A href="https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/process-availability" target="_self"&gt;in host settings.&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you are looking for performance (cpu/mem) monitoring, once defined the proper process group , you can use the &lt;A href="https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/built-in-metrics#generic" target="_self"&gt;generic metrics&lt;/A&gt; and create a &lt;A href="https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/metric-events-for-alerting" target="_self"&gt;metric event&lt;/A&gt; for it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
