ActiveGate as a beacon forwarder in SaaS deployment

Hi Folks,

I need help in configuring AG as beacon forwarder.

I have enabled the beacon forwarder module on the AG. Now, to forward the beacon signal for an application, from where do I get beacon URL to add and also where do I need to add that beacon URL under application setting?

Application setting has three options,

Default
OneAgent
Cluster ActiveGate

Are you talking about the Cluster/or Environment AG?

You need to use https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/beacon-forwarder#auto-injected-to-different-server

and the URL should be your AG

Will that AG URL available publicly?

If yes, do I need to do any changes under AG config files?

Network configuration is outside of the Dynatrace configuration.

Thank you for useful insights. We were able to get the help from Dynatrace support to resolved this.

Following beacon URL need to be used under application setting. provided that, a valid certificate added to ActiveGate since the communication goes via HTTPS.

https://ActiveGateFQDN/bf/tenantID

https://ActiveGateFQDN/beacon/tenantID
