Cordova hybrid app not tying mobile and web actions together in single session

Hello,

According to the client, they followed the steps to instrument their Cordova hybrid app.
However, when they analyse the user sessions, the mobile actions are always separate from the web actions, instead of seeing them combined as per the documentation.

Is there anything that comes to mind that could cause this, e.g., some missing configuration in Dynatrace or as part of the instrumentation?

As there are no details on how the client set it up I would suggest to open a support ticket to provide more details where the case can be analyzed and an answer matching the clients setup can be provided.

Hi @andre_vdveen

From our experience with hybrid mobile app the sessions will always split in between the Mobile and Web application.

If you tag the sessions with the same method you can try to find same users around the same time and try to figure out the sequence between the sessions by user actions time, did not try that but its look like that with USQL you can show the sequence.

May be RUM gen3 will have a better answer for this issue.
