topic RUM New - event /session properties in Real User Monitoring

Good morning community,

I’ve been exploring the configuration of event and session properties in the new Dynatrace RUM and was wondering if anyone has gone deeper into this topic.

While reviewing the settings, I noticed references to using the RUM JavaScript API. However, I’m struggling to find a clear, practical example that demonstrates how this is intended to be used in real scenarios.

I’m also curious about the differences compared to Classic RUM. Previously, it felt like there were more flexible options to define and include properties, whereas now it seems more limited or at least less straightforward.

Has anyone looked into these changes or can share guidance, examples, or best practices?

Thanks in advance,
Yann
