Application HTML not rendering correctly when Dynatrace OneAgent monitoring is enabled/

Hi everyone,

We are troubleshooting an issue where an application’s login page does not render correctly in the browser. Instead, the HTML content appears to be displayed as text rather than being rendered as a webpage.

Dynatrace OneAgent is suspected as a possible contributor, as the issue only appears when monitoring is enabled. When monitoring is disabled, the application would be rendered correctly.

This issue also is only occurring in DR environment, we have a similar Dynatrace OneAgent installed in Production and always has the monitoring enabled but never encountered this issue before.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue where Dynatrace OneAgent/RUM instrumentation caused an application's HTML response to be displayed as plain text or prevented the page from rendering correctly?

Any suggestions on what we should check from the Dynatrace/OneAgent side would be appreciated.

Hey @fathehah10 ,

You could try the following:

Go to Application settings → Injection → Custom injection rules.

Disable injection for the login page and check whether this resolves the issue.

If the issue persists, you can re-enable the injection rule.

This can already help determine if Dynatrace OneAgent is a suspect.
