Is feasible to configure chrome browser used on Synthetic monitoring ?

Hello all

I would like to know if is feasible to configure chrome browser used on Synthetic monitoring ?

For instance in order to install chrome extensions.

Considering also the case where we can use Syntetic monitoring using internal Active Gates on a Managed installation ?

I'm pretty sure you cannot do it for the public agents.

If you run your private agents,

you might be able to "hack" something, although that is certainly not recommended.

I have experience only with the Linux private agent. In this case, you have to install chromium by yourself, which might help in tweaking it, although I must stress that you should probably consult with Dynatrace first.

BTW, private agents can be used in SaaS and Managed installations. I use them in a SaaS environment.

Hi,

I have the same request. One application to be monitored is using Chrome extension "Ether Platform ApplicationHost".

When this extension is installed on my computer, I can playback the clickpath.

We need to install this extension on our on premices Synthetic ActiveGates in order for our Synthetic scipt to run.

How is it possible?

Use case : CompanyX delevop a solutionX system : made of serverX componant, requiring custom Chrome extensionX to interact with. We need to be able on install extensionX on Dynatrace ActiveGate Synthetic Chrome, so our Dynatrace synthetic scripts (captured with extensionX installed locally) can be played by Dynatrace.
