Hello Folks,

I'm working on one of the requirements where I wanted to monitor transaction flow for a remote desktop web client.

The flow comprises of, clicking on "Remote Desktop", waiting for the desktop to launch it, and launching the Microsoft Edge on the remote desktop and log-off.

A synthetic recorder is able to record clicks till the launch of the desktop however, it does not capture the interactions within the desktop. I inspected elements but it shows as canvas and doesn't show any of the DOM.

Has anybody come across such a situation and done it successfully, please advise.

Regards,
AK

Hi,

Dynatrace Synthetics scope are events happening in browser interacting with web applications. Rich desktop applications are out of scope.

Dynatrace had another product in the past to create flows with rich applications, but it was discontinued.

Best regards
