Can you elaborate more? What you mean by opening report in new tab? Is the playback option you get on the settings?

If so, the ondemand runs in an external source (public or private AGs), and playback runs on your own machine. So do consider the network constrains from the external sources, such as firewall and DNS.

Another thing to consider is that on-demand executions are only run once, using the main player on the public/ private location. Scheduled executions can, also, run a retry, if you enable that setting, and the retry will be executed on the fallback player which is a lower player version. Can you check the execution type for one of the successful datapoints?
