HTTP 401 error & 12183 - The site reported HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE

Hi Team,

I have created a Browser click path synthetic monitor for my application URL ..........

hitting traffic from public location does not work as firewall not opened and throws 12013 DNS Lookup failure.

Using private Active gate locations, Still I am getting below errors - 12183 - The site reported HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE

However, I am hitting url from my system within company network I am able to open the URL no issues in it.

How Can I solve this issue, Access is given to Dynatrace account, No Authentication token is needed.

401 generally means you need to add some credentials into the monitor, so possibly you need to add them in the HTTP Authentication field

Otherwise, can you run through the troubleshooting steps here?

I am having the same problem on all of my synthetic that uses authentication from the vault.

"Playback error: The site reported HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE."

when I try to play back all my synthetics I get this response, however the on-demand execution succeeded.

Can someone help pls?

Dont worry about 401 error,

If this works - on-demand execution succeeded all well.

Also make sure you ignore this specific error code like 401 unauthorized, in that particular scenario from synthetic setting
