As Tomasz mentioned, Browser monitors start each time with a clean cache folder. Instances are destroyed at the end of each execution, so there is no caching. If you are seeing an issue, please ask on chat or ask a new question on the community providing information on the issue you are seeing.

Does Dynatrace Browser Monitor clear the cache between executions automatically?

Does it need any additional setting for clearing the cache.

Currently we are running into an issue for one of the synthetic Monitors. When the monitor encounters a failure for a specific time the subsequent runs continue to fail at the same step.

We login to an application with credentials present in a vault. For some reason the monitor is not able to run successfully when a failure is encountered. We have to disable the monitor and then enable it again after some time.

Hi,

The Browser is started with a separate cache folder for each execution of each monitor. Furthermore, for public locations, the consecutive executions are most probably run on different machines.

Please create a support ticket. We would like to investigate the problem in details.

Regards,

Tomek
