Dear Team,

Could you please clarify whether :

- is the NAM for PING/TCP/DNS checks dependent on Chromium (is Chromium used for any of the NAM checks?) ?

- Is there a way to install/deploy an Synthetic ActiveGate without Chromium for NAM-only Synthetic ActiveGate ?

Hi Miro,

- Chromium is not used for execution of NAM monitors,

- currently Chromium installation cannot be skipped, but browserless private locations are in the works.

The obvious follow-up question - is there some rough ETA for browser-less/chromium-dependency-less private location Synthetic AG release ( March, May,... Autumn 2025), please ?

The planned landing zone for browserless private locations is ~March-April 2025.

Just a quick update: we aim to deliver that functionality in version 313.
It might be possible to enable it as an "Early adoption feature" for cluster 312 and AG 311. If you can accept some slight limitations in user experience during deployment and want to share early feedback, please let me know. I'll be happy to discuss the details.

Just wanted to let you know that the GA release is now planned with version 314
My earlier comment regarding the early adoption feature is still in force.
