how does the webform work on http authentication in Browser monitoring?

I tried creating a browser monitoring and added navigate to the url event and set up webform credentials in http authentication.

It didn't work.

Do I've to create adding events to add username and password manually after enabling webform credentials or would it add the username and password automatically after navigation?

Hi,
selecting the webform login opt will lead to a single-url browser monitor with only two steps:
Navigate to url and a noneditable AutoLogin event using the credential defined in the settings

Instead, if you are recording a clickpath, when you see a webform, insert your credential and move forward. After the recording, you can go to edit your clickpath, saving the credential injected in a credential vault (or use an existing one)
https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/observe/digital-experience/synthetic-monitoring/general-information/synthetic-authentication#web-form-clickpath
