Hi Geoff,

yes, you can block specific requests in the Advanced Settings for the monitor. You can find information on this here

Best wishes, Hannah

Can you exclude a 3rd party resource from Synthetic page load complete

Hi,

We have had a 3rd party marketing tag on our websites which caused our synthetic tests to fail intermittently as the resource was sitting in request pending. The test then fails with error "1304 - Wait for page complete timeout" (please see screenshot of offending resource)

What I want to know is if there is any way in Dynatrace SaaS to exclude a specific resource from being monitored and causing this sort of failure. The page was visually complete and the failure to load the resource is not service affecting for us.

I understand I can remove the "wait for page to load completely" but I would rather ensure that the page was loaded completely to make sure everything important is loaded, I'm just not bothered about loading this resource.
