Hello,

Have you tried to use Network Availability Monitors? https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/network-availability-monitoring

You can use ICMP, TCP and DNS test. With TCP test you can specify port number to test.

It is basically a synthetic monitoring, and for private IP addresses testing you will need a private synthetic location.

We have a database endpoint abc.cde.org:1111 and would like to verify its availability every 15 minutes.

What is the recommended approach in Dynatrace to monitor this endpoint? Can Dynatrace perform a TCP connectivity check to confirm that the host and port are reachable, and generate an alert if the endpoint becomes unavailable

Since this is a database endpoint, we are only looking to monitor network availability (host:port reachability) and not execute database queries. The health check should run every 15 minutes.
