Lookup Table Manager for Dynatrace (Custom App)

I’m excited to share Lookup Table Manager for Dynatrace, a custom app developed to make working with lookup tables simpler, safer, and more convenient directly within Dynatrace.

The idea came from working regularly with lookup tables and experiencing some of the challenges around getting a clear overview of existing tables, uploading of new data, frequent update of data and inspecting their contents and metadata

🔎 What does Lookup Table Manager provide?

The app brings lookup-table management into a single interface where you can:

• Browse and search available lookup tables
• Inspect table content and metadata
• Upload CSV files through a guided validation process
• Use JSON data or DQL output as Lookup Table input.
• Receive automatically generated parsing suggestions
• Preview and validate lookup-table data before upload
• Review audit activity related to lookup-table changes

⚙️ Lookup tables + Dynatrace Workflows

Lookup Table Manager also contributes custom Dynatrace Workflow actions, allowing lookup-table data to be used directly in workflow automation.

Currently available actions include:

• Get lookup record – retrieve the first matching record based on a selected column and value
• Get lookup table – retrieve records from a lookup table for use by subsequent workflow tasks
• Create or replace lookup table – create a new table or explicitly replace an existing table using records supplied by a workflow

This makes it possible, for example, to use lookup data within workflows or generate lookup-table content from the output of another workflow task, such as a DQL query.
