Interesting use case. My recommendation would be to do some type of API posting via synthetics to Service now, or find a way to trigger the "Send test notification" from the UI to your defined instance. Maybe via workflows?

Hello,

I'm looking for advice for a heartbeat event between Dynatrace and ServiceNow ITOM. I want to create a Dynatrace event in ServiceNow every 5 minutes to see if the connection is still working.

Right now we have a workflow that triggers a problem which creates an event. This often got caught by Davis and creates a wrong root cause which is undesirable. Also preferably, we don't want it to pop up as a problem.

Does anyone know a way to directly create a Dynatrace event in ServiceNow without creating a problem?
