From my understanding, tracing calls to Azure Cache for Redis isn't currently possible. Are there any plans of including it in the future?

Thanks for the detailed answer, but I'm looking into getting more than metrics, which are covered by the documentation you shared. I'd like to see the Redis called added to the Purepaths.

Actually, Dynatrace is capable of capturing tracing of calls to Azure Cache for Redis.

The key is that the backend services make these calls using Dynatrace-compatible libraries for communication with Azure Cache for Redis. When this happens, the following capabilities are enabled:

1.- In the integration with Azure, Dynatrace can identify traffic to Azure Cache for Redis and classify it as part of the monitored "Services."

2.- In distributed traces, you can clearly visualize the calls made to Azure Cache for Redis as part of the transaction flow.

I think the key is "Dynatrace-compatible libraries". My use case involves the StackExchange.Redis that is afaik still on the roadmap.

But, still it's very useful to know that it can trace it seamlessly thank you!
