Is Azure Managed Redis instrumentable in Dynatrace?

Hello community,

We would like to know if anyone has experience connecting Azure Managed Redis with Dynatrace.

We have deployed an Azure Managed Redis service in Azure and configured the tagging so that metrics should be sent to Dynatrace. However, we don’t see any service being created in Dynace.

Is there native compatibility or any recommended integration?
Is it possible to easily monitor metrics?
Are there any tips or limitations we should be aware of?
We appreciate any information or experiences you can share!

Hi @VictorRuiz
When you say "Azure managed Redis" I think you are using "Azure Cache for Redis" in Azure . For Cath metric of that, you need configurate the integration with Azure .
Azure Native Dynatrace Service — Dynatrace Docs

With the correct Tags or configurated, you will get metrics about "redis Cache (built-in)" but I recommend you change by "Cache for Redis" .

Thank you for your response and the helpful links.
I would like to clarify that Azure Managed Redis is not the same as Azure Cache for Redis. While both services are related, Azure Managed Redis is a new, enhanced offering built on Redis Enterprise, which includes additional features and capabilities not present in the traditional Azure Cache Redis.

As stated by Microsoft in their own documentation and communications, Azure Managed Redis is now the preferred Redis offering on Azure, and Microsoft actively recommends migrating from Azure Cache for Redis to Azure Managed Redis for new deployments and to benefit from the latest innovations:

Given this, my original question is specifically about the compatibility and instrumentation of Azure Managed Redis (not Azure Cache for Redis) in Dynatrace. The documentation and integrations I have found so far seem to be focused on the legacy Azure Cache for Redis service.
I have opened a support ticket with Dynatrace, and their official response was that only Azure Cache for Redis is currently supported. They recommended submitting a Request for Enhancement (RFE) to the Dynatrace Product Ideas portal.
