Pricing for AWS ECS Fargate Docker containers monitoring

Hi,

We are about to migrate some of our docker containers from an on-premises host to AWS ECS with a Fargate deployment.

How does Dynatrace billing works in this case, since the agent will be installed in the containers and not in the host ?

You should contact with Dynatrace sales or partner in your country about it.

I asked Dynatrace's support through the in-app chat. Here is their answer:

When doing the Fargate Deployment, we're simply downloading and installing the agent through the build script. This would mean that Host Units would be charged by the RAM dedicated to each Docker instance. https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/monitoring-consumption#host-units

So each container counts for a host, using host units according to the allocated RAM:
