Full end-to-end tracing with Apigee

Hello everyone,

I'm currently monitoring Apigee using the official Dynatrace extension. While It provides useful metrics, I haven't been able to obtain end-to-end traces that pass through Apigee.

My questions are:

Are there any updates regarding full tracing support for Apigee?
I have this links:

Is there a straightforward way to configure this in order to capture distributed traces end-to-end?

We are on Apigee Hybrid and ended up using a flow to send an OpenTelemetry span to the Dynatrace Otel Collector. We had to do some customizations to the headers passed downstream so the Apigee span would show up in the trace correctly. The customizations included not passing the x-dynatrace header, creating a custom span ID for Apigee and updating the traceparent header with the new Apigee span ID. The flow is fire and forget so it is non-blocking.
