Hi,

We were wondering what AWS RDS CloudWatch metrics Dynatrace monitors?

We'd like to monitor BinLogDiskUsage and ReplicaLag metrics of a read replica in RDS and also the Replication state. We wondered if Dynatrace allowed us to do that already? Or steps that we need to take to do that.

Hi Adam,

Please see here for the list of present AWS metrics available in Dynatrace.

It does not look like the metrics you are interested in are listed there but there are additional metrics that are to be added that are in EAP (early access program). See blog

Also please add a comment to this RFE explaining the CloudWatch metrics you are interested in that should be added to Dynatrace

In the EAP we will allow monitoring BinLogDiskUsage and AuroraReplicaLag for Aurora only. This shall be available in February.

Thanks for both replies. We'd also be interested in replication state a read replica (MariaDB) and for Dynatrace to flag up a problem if the replication stops or has an error.
