Is there a cost for
monitoring RDS instances in Dynatrace Managed?

Essentially Dynatrace pulls the metrics from CloudWatch and
no oneagent is installed, so this is pulled through the integration.

We will need to find out if there are any costs associated
with this form of monitoring.

Please assist. Tx

For the AWS Integration via CloudWatch there is no cost on the Dynatrace side.

There might be a cost on the AWS side, but if you only use CloudWatch for the Dynatrace Integration you should be well within the Free Tier.

Please note that Free Tier for AWS CloudWatch cover first 1 million request, which corresponds to 10$ saving. The Free Tier applies to GetMetricsStatistics not GetMetricData, which we are planning to use to improve performance.
