I'm looking for some information on when to use what Dynatrace K8s Deployment strategy.

I see from the Docs, there is:

Daemon Set
DynaKube Oneagent Operator
Application Only Monitoring

When should I use which and why?

Hi Joshua, this page may help for background info. In short, (as of writing) the DynaKube way is the current best practice way. It will in fact create a DaemonSet for you.

Which leaves application only. This is a subset and really designed as a fallback for situations when you don't have access to the underlying hosts / infrastructure. See this page for background on app-only instrumentation.
