In the data explorer and classic dashboards, there are some "built-in" metric keys that I can't find in the new dashboards, such as:
- builtin:apps.web.action duration.load.browser
- builtin:service.dbconnections.total
- builtin:service.dbconnections.failureRate
- builtin:apps.web.actionDuration.load.browser
I checked the "Built-in Metrics on Grail - Dynatrace Docs" document but couldn't find these metrics or others that might help me filter the data. How can I use these metrics in the new dashboards?

2. I noticed that the new dashboards don't have drill-down functionality. For example, in the "Problems" section, we can see how many problems we have per domain, but clicking on it doesn't allow us to switch to the problems app. This might be because the "pin to dashboard" feature is missing in the new problems application.

hello, I noticed that I don't have the timeframe feature in the new Kubernetes dashboard.

I searched and read almost all the articles related to the Kubernetes new dashboard and found no explanation for that issue. Can you please help?

Hi,

I assume by "new Kubernetes dashboard" you refer to the new Kubernetes app we introduced.

For the app, we plan to introduce timeframe selection for specific areas (charts, events, logs) around Nov. this year. Furthermore, around August timeframe, we plan to release a couple of Kubernetes dashboards in addition to the app, which will also allow you to change the timeframe. <STRIKE>You can already explore them today on our playground - from there you can also download the json and already upload it to your environment. </STRIKE>
These dashboards are available on your tenant out-of-the-box (landing with K8s app version 1.17.2)

sure - on the linked playground you first download the dashboard as json.

afterwards, you click on upload on your tenant and selected the downloaded json file.

Hi @Sujoud9595,

The metric keys you listed, are indeed not in Grail, so they can't be used in the New Dashboards.

Regarding the
builtin:apps
metrics, we just published this article: Analyze granular digital experience data for insightful analysis with DEM metrics on dashboards and apps on the latest Dynatrace. In summary, the way we capture and store application data in the new Dynatrace experience is undergoing some optimizations, and some of the metric keys we used to have will be replaced by others. Nonetheless, when the new DEM metrics are GA, we will publish a mapping to allow for a smooth migration of the dashboards that exist in Dashboards Classic.

The
builtin:service.dbconnections
metric keys should have been listed in this Unsupported metrics section (we'll fix that). As a first phase, we are planning support for metrics like these via DQL queries, when we make querying spans and traces available in Grail. In the Unsupported metrics section, you'll find an example DQL query that would replace the metrics
builtin:service.dbChildCallCount
and
builtin:service.dbChildCallTime
. Note: querying traces in Grail is planned to come early next year. It's currently not generally available.
