Difference between Process Group & Kubernetes[app] while filtering services in customchart?

While creating custom chart for metric JVM Thread Count, when I am filtering out services, I can either chose the process group (included all processes) or use Kubernetes[app] and then select that microservice name (which has that one process group). What is the difference?

While chosing the latter, I see more thread count for same number of processes.

I am trying to understand the kubernetes metrics here and how is it different from selecting the process group of that same kubernetes[app].

Hello Rashmi, do you see separate process group for each Kubernetes app? If it's not equal you should consider process group detection rules:
