Hello,

Found this in the oneagenthelper log on a host where Dynatrace is installed on the OS:

So I assume the answer is yes. So who can confirm when a container is restarted the oneagenthelper awakes to inject the container? Or who knows the mechanism behind this Docker container injection?

KR Henk

Hello,

In the documentation I read that deploying a oneagent-docker container needs:

There's a startup dependency between the container in which OneAgent is deployed and application containers to be instrumented (i.e., which have deep process monitoring enabled). The OneAgent container must be started and the oneagenthelper process must be running prior to the application container being launched so that the application can be properly instrumented.

Does this also apply when you install the OneAgent on the OS? Or in other words can the oneagenthelper be used as a Activegate for docker?

We can confirm that when a container is restarted the oneagenthelper awakes to inject the container. The
oneagenthelper
needs to be running before app containers get started in order to get them monitored.
