Service request count and/or service response time splitby caller

Would it be possible to create a chart showing response times or request counts for a specific service, broken down by the calling service, using DQL?

I have a few use cases where I’d like to visualize the number of requests made by different calling services to a particular target service. I have a feeling this could be achieved with DQL, but I’m still quite new to it and not entirely sure how to approach it.

So like on my example I would need to chart the request count made by Service A/B/C/D towards Service X.

Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated!

Hi!

Are you referring to a view like the Service Flow/Backtrace?

Currently, with DQL, you can retrieve the stats, but you cannot visualize them in a chart like the one you mentioned. However, I believe this feature is planned for future implementation.
If you'd like, you can open a Request for Enhancement (RFE), which could be beneficial.

In the meantime, it is possible to create a custom app (Gen3) using the Strato Component to display this information. You can reach out to your CSM/AE and request a call with the Services team to explore the feasibility of building it.
