We will be soon supporting syslog export of logs. Hope this will address your use case.

Hi,

We aren't using Files for Logging in our java applications, but a tcp-logger writing directly into an ELK-Stack.

Is Dynatrace also supporting this kind of logging for log Analytics?

regards,

Gerald

Hi @Pawel B.

Sorry for my late reply, but somehow the mail notification doesn't work.

Well I'm not exactly sure what you mean by syslog export of logs. Is it like a CustomLogHandler that sends alls syslog output to dynatrace?

regards,

Gerald

Gerald, Any logging activity on your systems which conforms to the Syslog standard will be consumable by our (soon) Syslog capability. I don't know your logger, but I'm guessing that it conforms to the Syslog format standard. Syslog is the defacto standard on Linux.
