However, before proceeding, the client wants to ensure we understand the potential increase in <STRONG>license consumption</STRONG> this change might incur.</P> <P>In our current <STRONG>Log Monitoring (Classic)</STRONG> setup, we have log ingestion from two different software applications. On average, we receive <STRONG>5 million logs and events every 24 hours</STRONG>. I used the metric "<STRONG>Server - Log And Events Monitoring - Events Incoming Count</STRONG>" to measure this, but this metric only provides the count - not the size of the logs.</P> <P>Since Grail licensing is based on data <STRONG>volume (GiB)</STRONG>, we need to know the <STRONG>total size</STRONG> of the incoming logs.</P> <P>Is there a <STRONG>built-in metric</STRONG> or any other method I can use to get the total size of logs in our environment? Or would I need to contact our Dynatrace representative to retrieve this information?
