topic Automatic ingestion of OneAgent Logs into Grail in Log Analytics

Hello,

Is it on the roadmap for the OneAgent logs to be ingested into Dynatrace so they can be queried in Grail via DQL? This is instead of having to pulling a Support Archive and manually search through the multiple logs.

This then also has the advantage of seeing the last log entries even if the Host is offline due to an issue with the Host or Agent.

Hi @D_Miller !

You can do it. You have to enable Allow OneAgent to monitor OneAgent logs in the host settings :

Then add the path to custom log source configuration (https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/observe-and-explore/logs/log-monitoring/acquire-log-data/log-custom-source) and storage configuration (https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/observe-and-explore/logs/log-monitoring/acquire-log-data/log-storage).

But be careful oneagent log is verbose 🙂 #DDU
